The future of smartphone technology is here with the Droid Turbo 2 by Motorola and Droid Maxx 2 by Motorola. With features like powerful batteries, great cameras and stunning displays, Droid devices are raising the bar when it comes to quality smartphones. Here are some reasons why.
Exclusive to the new Droid Turbo
If you’re a Droid fan, chances are you’re familiar with the Touchless Control options. With the Droid Turbo 2, get ready for the smartest voice assistant ever with Moto Voice. It lets you create your own voice prompt, ask questions or even post photos to Facebook® using your own phrases.
Need directions? Just ask. Wondering if you’ll need an umbrella? Ask—and it gives you the weather. No more fumbling with the camera to hold it steady while you click the camera shutter. Just say, “Take a selfie,” and the 2-megapixel front-facing camera does the rest. You can even send a text message without actually typing.
With Moto Actions, silence the phone with the simple wave of a hand.
Both Droids have Moto Assist, a special feature that puts your phone in a different mode depending on where you are. For example, you can set Moto Assist to blocks calls during important meetings at the office. Or, set it to use GPS and block incoming text messages when you’re driving.
Touchless Control (called Moto Voice on the Droid Turbo 2) allows 100 percent hands-free voice commands. That’s right—you can use your Droid without touching a single button. Simply say, “OK Google Now” (or with the Droid Turbo 2, program your own unique activation phrase), and your Droid is alert and ready for your command. Are you worried Droid will answer to someone else? Don’t be. Your Droid knows your voice, and it will only answer to you, letting you get directions, weather—even helping you find your misplaced phone.
A notification system that actually saves your battery
With the Droid Maxx 2, you’ll have quick access to the latest news you care about thanks to the Active Display with Active Notifications, an ultra-low-power notification system (called Moto Display on the Droid Turbo 2).
The display keeps you aware of alerts without having to constantly turn on your phone, subtly telling you what you are missing, like calls and text messages. When something new happens in any app from which you choose to receive alerts, you’ll see a notification pulse on your screen. To preview the alert, touch the Droid’s screen in the center of the pulse. From there, you can choose whether or not to open the app. When your finger leaves the screen, the information disappears.
The notification system is particularly useful for those who have to be in the know all day long. Droid lets you know what’s going on when you want to know it, without any hassle.
